COLLEGE CENTRAL!!
Juniors & Seniors - Honors College Info!
There are many options when it comes to college. How much will it cost? How do I get financial aid? What college should I choose? What should I major in? What are minors?
Another thing to consider is whether or not an honors college program is right for you. Nearly every college and university has an Honors College. They all have their own criteria for admissions, too. But, what is an honors college?
Think of honors college as "a college within a college". For example, if you choose to go to Indiana University, apply, and are accepted - you can also apply for admission to their Honors College (as long as you meet their Honors College admissions requirements).
There are many advantages to graduating from a school's honors college program (besides just looking good on your resume). To name a couple, many honors colleges have an International School component. You can apply to study abroad and spend a semester in places like South Africa (Michigan State University), Ireland (Ball State University), Germany and Italy (Purdue University)! Another advantage is that nearly all of these programs grant students a lot more freedom to choose the topics they research and projects that they do.
